La Última Posada Christmas story is set in northern New Mexico during territorial times.
Included in the text are thirteen detailed traditional Spanish colonial family recipes, and the words to Las Posadas, a Spanish Christmas song with English translation. The "Última Posada" story unfolds a physical and spiritual journey made by a family on Christmas Eve as they struggle to reunite at Mamita's farm over in the next valley. An untimely snowstorm interrupts their journey -- an encounter with a mysterious stranger changes their lives forever. Bonds of family, love and faith are strengthened by all their experiences.
